HUE
Located in central Vietnam, and recognised as a UNESCO’s World Heritage Sites, Hue was once the capital city of Vietnam (from 1802 – 1945). Even though many of its finest buildings were destroyed during the war, this deeply evocative capital of the Nguyen Dynasty still resonates with the glories of imperial Vietnam, where the royal lifestyle and customs still have a signigicant impact on the city’s culture. For example, Hue dishes are usually come in relatively smaller serving with much more refined presentation. Violet-colour Ao Dai are especially common in Hue as the colour has a special connection to the high-rank officials.
