Begin your tour of Vietnam and its spectacular mountainous region surrounding Sapa on a comfortable overnight sleeper train journey from Hanoi to Lao Cai. On arrival at Lao Cai a transfer through the breathtaking mountains leads you to Sapa. Rising mountains serrated by lush green rice paddies are hallmarks of this area. The vast expanse of green brought to life by its equally colorful indigenous hilltribes. Indigo clad H'mong wear their scarlet hue clothing with the sun reflecting off their shining silver jewelry.
A vehicle takes guests up to Heaven's Gate and Tram Ton Pass, at 2,684m it is the highest mountain pass in Vietnam. Walk around the area to admire the unhindered views from both sides of Hoang Lien Son mountain range. From here we descend to Sapa, stopping at O Quy Ho village, known for its production of vegetables, flowers and fruits.
Visits to local homes and walks through hilltribe villages in Bac Ha allow insight to the residents everyday lives. Learn about family practices, how to prepare locally produced foods and their symbiotic relationship with the land.
Your final 2 nights are spent at the Pan Hu Lodge in Hoang Su Phi, an area of outstanding beauty. Wander through the nearby rice paddies and embark on a trek to the village of Nam Hong, stopping to meet a number of hilltribes along the way. Enjoy a picnic in a Man Ta Pan village and visit a Tay community where the houses are constructed on wooden stilts before returning to your lodge for the final night of your tour in Vietnam.
In the evening, transfer to Hanoi Railways Station for the overnight train to Lao Cai,the gateway to Sapa

Early arrives at Lao Cai station at approximately 6:00 am. The drive to Sapa is only 33 km but it takes around 1.5 hours. On they way to Sapa, enjoy the beautiful scenery of the terraced hills and mountains
Once at Sapa, we will check-in hotel (Early check-in subject to availability). Breakfast and refresh at the hotel or take a stroll around the town nearby your hotel. It is here you will see local people - hands stained by color from fabric dyes , jackets, waistcoats, pants, skirts, caps, purses and leggings are embroidered by red, blue and many other colourfull pattern.
At 10 a.m. Take a morning walking tour of Sapa for a visit to Silver waterfall. Walk up to the higher elevation of Ham Rong Mountain to see the 100 meters high, white water fall poured down the stream. Take a drive about 2 kilometers to Tram Ton Pass and to Heaven's Gate . Enjoy the spectacular natural beauty with tapetry forest, soaring Mountain and the terraced rice fields. From Heaven's Gate return to Sapa by your vehicle. En route, visit visit O Quy Ho where a range of variety vegetable, fruits and medicinal planted. TRansfer back to your hotel in Sapa and at leisure . Overnight stay in Sapa.
Have breakfast then drive to visit a local market (Ban Cam on Tuesday/ Cao Son on Wednesday/ Lung Khau Nhin on Thursday / Can Cau on Saturday/ Bac Ha on Sunday) The market offers a variety of local products not be found in others areas such as an interesting animal market where pot-bellied pigs, cows and buffalos are gathering to be sold or exchanged.Continue walking shortly to a hill-tribe village then experience the cultural daily life of locals here then transfer to Bac Ha where you will stay overnight. Overnight in Bac Ha.
Breakfast then transfer to Ha Giang where you will see a colourful range of hill tribes, the exciting minority markets and explore the breathtaking mountainous scenery. Arrive in the beautiful Hoang Su Phi area, check in Pan Hou Lodge, freshen up then Stroll surrounding the lodge where the rice terraces offer you the opportunity of life- time photos. Dinner in the Pan Hou Lodge restaurant. Overnight in Ha Giang.
This morning, wake up early to start your trek of approximately 4 hours to Nam Hong hill tribe village.
Have a 400 meter walking up passing through the green forest, waterfalls with the alluring views of terraced paddies and cassaca crops. En route, you will meet many local people of Man Ta Pan, Tay, Flower H'mong hill tribe groups
Have picnic lunch in Man Ta Pan village whic is famous for tea producing. After Lunch, Walk through a bammboo forest to then dow to Giang Valley. Stop to visit the Tay people's wooden house where their family live from generation to generation. Return to your Pan Ho Lodge around 4pm. At leisure and have dinner in Pan Hou Lodge. Overnight in Ha Giang.
Have breakfast then drive back to Hanoi. Have lunch en route in a local restaurant. Arrive Hanoi in the late afternoon
