The second day of this Vietnam tour will take you to the tunnels of Cu Chi and gives you a glimpse of Ho Chi Minh City’s main landmarks. First travel northwest of Ho Chi Minh City where you will be lead through the jungle as your guide explains the history of the war, the ingenuity of the Cu Chi residents and the daily activities of the people. Return to Ho Chi Minh City for lunch and in the afternoon visit the historic Reunification Palace, the Old Post Office, Notre Dame Cathedral and the vibrant Ben Thanh Market where scenes of traditional Vietnamese living play out.

Breakfast at your hotel then 08:00 depart to Cu Chi district. Arrive in the tunnels area, have a short introduction by video then exploring the amazing undergroudn tunnels. The tunnels consist of more than 200kilometers. This main axis system has many branches connecting to underground hideouts, shelters, and entrancesto other tunnels. The network included innumerable trap doors, specially constructed living areas, storage facilities, weapons factories, field hospitals, command centers and kitchens. Today the remaining tunnels have become a major tourist attraction giving the visitor a unique experience and a feel of what underground life was like during the U.S.-Vietnam War
This afternoon, our tour includes the Reunification Hall, formerly known as the Presidential Palace it was towards this modern building that North Vietnamese tanks seized on the morning of April 30 1975, as Saigon fell. This fascinating building is filled with history still fresh in the minds of many. Continue to the Old Post Office, the Notre Dame Cathedral. The last stop is Ben Thanh — the central market for the city and one of its liveliest and most colorful areas. Following your tour head back to your hotel. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.
