Travel from Siem Reap through the lush Cambodian countryside to Battambang. Although it is the country’s second largest city, Battambang feels world’s away from the capital as it is exudes a relaxed, laid-back atmosphere. Upon arrival, check in to your chic colonial-style hotel, take a stroll through the town and enjoy a delicious welcome dinner.
Meet at Poi Pet, Thailand - Cambodia border. Clients will cross border and arrange visa formalities. After cross the border you will meet a tour guide to wait for you in front of the visa center. Drive to Sisophon and lunch at local restaurant. Then continue to Battambang province. Battambang is Cambodia's second-largest city which was founded in the 11th century. It is the former capital of Monton Khmer and lies in the heart of the Northwest of Cambodia. Until the war years, in which almost every infrastructure was destroyed, it was the leading rice-producing province of the country. Arrive Battambang transfer to hotel for check in. Take a look around the city before dinner at the hotel.
In the morning, visit ancient house was built in 1907, Pagodas both Battambang town and the surrounding countryside are replete with pagodas, some of them very old, respected and displaying some very unique architecture. Then drive to Phnom Bannon Hill and climb the 337 steps to reach the Prasat Bannon temple dating 12th century and enjoy the breathtaking view over the surrounding plains. Lunch will be at local restaurant. After lunch drive to Siem Reap, the journey will take 3 hours to cover 175 km distance. Arrived Siem Reap transfer to hotel for check in. In the afternoon, In the late afternoon, you will walk to the top of Phnom Bakheng to view the amazing sunset over Angkor Wat and other surrounding ruins. Dinner will be at the local restaurant & overnight in Siem Reap.
Breakfast at hotel, explore to visit Banteay Srei, the beautiful ‘Women’s Citadel’. Located 32 kms. From Siem Reap town, this was Cambodia's last major Khmer temple to be re-discovered, then return back to visit the fabulous Ta Prohm Temple which is embraced by the roots of enormous fig trees. Lunch at local restaurant. In the afternoon, Visit the South Gate (with its huge statues depicting the churning of the ocean of milk) the ancient capital of Angkor Thom (12th century) and visit Bayon Temple (unique for its 54 towers decorated with over 200 smiling faces of Avolokitesvara), then visit the 7th world heritage, Angkor Wat a unique and stunning blend of spirituality and symmetry, an enduring example of man's devotion to his Gods. It is the largest and undoubtedly the most breath taking of the monuments of Angkor and it is widely believed that it is the largest religious structure in the world. Dinner will be at a local restaurant whilst watching a traditional Apsara Dance show.
After breakfast at hotel, excursion to visit the floating village of Chong Khneas, located 10 kilometers south of Siem Reap. Take a traditional wooden boat for a ride on the Tonle Sap Lake, the "Great Lake" of Cambodia, one of the largest in Asia and flows into Tonle Sap River, joining the Mekong in Phnom Penh. We will see a fishermen's "floating village" with floating schools, floating police station, etc. It is same as a big village floating on the lake, and the "village" move from place to place following water levels and current. Return back visit the Old Market where you can see the fresh local produce being sold as well as browse the souvenir stalls. Lunch will be at a local restaurant. After lunch drive to Poi Pet border. End service!
