Discover the very best this charming city has to offer with a three-day journey through Lao culture. Exploring ancient temples, stupas and palaces, guests can discover the city's rich history.
And then, you'll experience the cultural fervor of the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Luang Prabang. In addition to fascinating temples and relics, Luang Prabang offers its guests the opportunity to integrate themselves with the local culture. After exploring the town, familiarize yourself with nearby villages, each located amongst Laos' natural landscapes with their own unique history.
Arrive Vientiane at Wattay airport, transfer to hotel for check in.
Afternoon visit the highlights of Vientiane: Vat Sisaket, the oldest temple in Vientiane with its mural paintings, Ho Prakeo, the royal temple turned into a Buddhist museum. Proceed to That Luang Stupa, the most revered shrine in Laos and pass Patouxay (Victory Monument). If time permits, stop at Talat Sao, the big central market. Dinner at Kua Lao restaurant with traditional music and dances.

Breakfast at hotel, transfer to airport for departure to Luang Prabang. Upon arrival at Luang Prabang, transfer to hotel for check in. Lunch at local restaurant. Afternoon start the visit of the old city with Vat Vixoun influenced by Tai-Lue architecture and That Makmo, the watermelon shape stupa. Proceed to Vat Xieng Thong, the most beautiful temples of Luang Prabang dating back from 16th century. The roofs of the sim sweep low to the ground and glass colored panels adorn the walls of the chapels. Climb up Phousi Hill for an outstanding view of the city and the Mekong river. Dinner at Local restaurant. Accommodation at hotel.
Breakfast at hotel, Visit of the Royal Palace Museum (Tuesday closed) housing the most important treasures of Laos’ recent past. Walk to the local pier of Luang Prabang behind the Museum to embark on a traditional boat to Pak Ou. Stop over to visit a village where traditional weaving and rice wine distillation are part of the daily activities of the village. Lunch at Soun Pak Ou restaurant near the caves. After lunch visit Tham Ting and Tham Phoum housing hundreds of Buddha statues. On the way back to Luang Prabang stop at Ban Xieng Mene, just opposite Luang Prabang. Walk through the village and visit Vat Long Khoune with its beautiful mural paintings. Cross the Mekong, back in the city and transfer back to your hotel. Dinner and accommodation at hotel.
Breakfast at hotel, Visit fresh local market, Vat Mai with its five tiered roof and exquisitely carved veranda. If time, short walk to Ban Vat That, the Silversmiths’ area.
Transfer to the airport for check in and departure to next destination.
